Tomato Slayer Sauce

Typically canning is rushed and I'm more concerned with quantity than quality. This year, I decided to make some truly outstanding tomato sauce. That meant bothering with details like peeling and seeding. While adding hours to the process it does make for a more spectacularly smooth sauce. Now we have 20 jars of the sauce around, well worth it I'd say.

Inde and Luber

Lou likes to eat. And she doesn't discriminate. Squirrels, birds, mice, rats, moles, chickens. I know she'd eat a raccoon if she could just get her paws on one. And it's not all fauna for this girl. Some other favorite treats include blackberries, carrots, chestnuts and apples.

There really is nothing better than to race the truck to the farm stand. Gets 'em going every time.
