Digging in to Vashon

Sorting and cleaning for market

A November harvest of carrots, beats, scorzinera, and salsify

These are celery roots, aka celeriac. Tastes like celery but cooks like a turnip.

Harvesting sunchokes/Jerusalem artichokes.

Mmmm. To me they taste like buttered mashed potatoes with a skin that pops.

Prepping our cover crops

The late fall crop of salad greens

Night work in the harvest shelter.

Not every morning is like this in the Puget Trough but we love the ones that are. Pictured here is (l-r) the new office, the intern's cabin, and the greenhouse.
