Welcome to the new blog. Jen and I are back in western Washington State after a year in Alaska's Aleutians, the U.S.'s most-best unknown landscape - weather permitting, it'll remain that way - followed by a year 'cross the Atlantic; infiltrating Ireland's soddy underworld in oversees labor and going to a 'get-off-oil-smartly--reduce-impact-widely' trade college. The school, and a few things in life beforehand, inspired is to go sheep watching in Italy, whereupon cash in the pocket from the irish black market fueled an escape in Slovenia. We were called back to Puget Sound to begin work reforming the land - Bob for moral, scientific, and economically popular purposes, and Jen for physical purposes - to produce food. To be honest about it though, what she has dedicated herself to is an investment in skills, these skills the tools and connections necessary for living in the tomorrow. After a summer in the Vincent crook of the Snoqualmie Valley, we find ourselves on Vashon Island, middle Puget Sound, living in the cold darkness and days of the winter.
